| Deploying & Profiting from Enterprise Small Cells | | |
|
| The Small Cell Forum has published its long awaited Release Two, looking at small cell deployments in offices and commercial premises to deliver in-building coverage & capacity. | | |
| Real Wireless - as the industry's leading independent experts on small cells - was commissioned by the Forum to develop the comprehensive business case and financial model. Identifying the key reasons an operator would deploy small cells, the likely cost of deployment and under what circumstances it becomes profitable. | | |
| It covers the benefits - such as reduced churn, improved capacity and macro offload - as well as all the costs, from the cost of the small cell and installation, to operating expenditures such as backhaul, management and maintenance. We developed the model, which covers a wide range of situations from small offices to large corporate headquarters; hotels and conference centres to retail operations. | | |
| The analysis includes business cases for both the operator and the enterprise and discusses how benefits are shared. Demonstrating how improved coverage can increase competitive advantage, thus attracting new customers and increasing the value of a building development. | | |

| Whether it is Wembley Stadium, Heathrow Airport or many other developments, few people understand in-building wireless as well as Real Wireless. | | |
| As our most recent work developing an enterprise business case for the Small Cell Forum shows, we are experts in propagation modelling, economic analysis and the realities of practical deployment. | | |
| If you are responsible for a building or a new development and would like to learn how to improve cellular service, in-building coverage and capacity - and make a profit - then we should talk. To schedule a conversation click here | | |
| Spectrum Shortages Hit the Headlines | | |
|
| A Real Wireless report recently hit the national headlines in the UK predicting that the UK’s mobile and Wi-Fi networks will be unable to cope with demand for data by 2020. | | |
|
| Commissioned by Ofcom, Real Wireless has modelled the growth in wireless traffic in the UK and predicts that even with using small cells and Wi-Fi offload, we will need 650MHz more spectrum in the next few years. And this is after the new bands already considered are added to the available spectrum. | | |
| Small cells are an essential tool for operators to improve spectral efficiency and to get the much-needed capacity from their networks. But they do not remove the pressing need for more spectrum. | | |
| With renewed interest in solving our spectrum shortage, we are able to provide approaches that will help. To understand more please get in touch here. | | |
